Chicken skewers, Peanut sauce, Coconut & curry

Check out this Asian chicken kebab recipe with coconut, curry and peanut sauce. Deliciously scented, and easy to realize, this recipe will become classic at home!

Preparation time: 15 minutes- Cooking time: 10 minutes

For a dozen of Asian chicken skewers

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 20cl soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 100g peanut butter (unsweetened)
  • 100g coconut milk
  • 3 tablespoons mild curry powder
  • 15cm skewers

Preparation of the Asian chicken skewers

Cut the chicken breasts into small pieces (or ask your butcher to do it) and make a marinade with the honey and soy sauce.

Mix the chicken and marinade well in a bowl.  The chicken has to start absorbing the sauce.

If you remember, you can start marinating the chicken the day before, so the chicken will absorb all the flavors.

Put the chicken on the skewers.

Cook in the oven at 150°C (340°F) for 15 minutes. Halfway through cooking, turn the skewers over.

While waiting for chicken to finish cooking, heat the coconut milk in a saucepan with the curry and the peanut butter. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve the skewers with the sauce on the side.

Food fact

Coconut, curry and peanut are a great flavor combination. This sauce can also be made for an original barbecue !

You can find wood skewers here or stainless steel skewers here (I prefer these one because you can reuse them, and reuse them again!)
