There are only a few days left before Valentine’s Day … This year, make a small gourmet gift for your beloved one! I bet your children will also fall for these little marshmallows.
Ingredients for 15 to 20 marshmallows
- 4 sheets of gelatin
- 2 egg whites
- 150 g of sugar
- 20 g honey
- 3 cl of orange flower water
- 5 cl of water
- Food coloring
- Oil
- Icing sugar
- Cornflour
- Small sugar decoration (optional)
Preparation of your valentine marshmallow
Place the gelatin sheets in a bowl of cold water to soften them.
In a saucepan, heat the water of orange blossom and honey over a low heat. Add the drained gelatin and mix until it is completely melted. Pour a few drops of red dye.
In another saucepan, gently boil water and sugar for about 8 minutes and add the previous mixture.
During this time, turn the whites until they are very firm.
Pour the obtained syrup into the whites in snow and continue to whisk a few minutes.
Lightly oil your small heart-shaped molds and then line them with a mixture of icing sugar (including on the sides) before pouring the marshmallow. Sprinkle the top with a little icing sugar and for the pleasure of the eyes, you can sprinkle a few of sugar deco …
Reserve a few hours in the refrigerator before offering them with or without their mold!
If you do not have small heart shaped molds, you can proceed in the same way by pouring all the marshmallow into a large rectangular mold. You can cut it after the drying time.
Happy Valentine’s Day !
